Your vitamin needs may well be unique to who you are and how you live. For example, if you smoke tobacco, your vitamin needs are different and more intense than those of a non-smoker. Therefore you need to be more creative with your vitamin intake. It would be the same if you tended to drink alcoholic beverages frequently. In that case, you would need to take extra Vitamin B1, because alcohol burns up the available B1 in your body very quickly, leaving you feeling "wasted" the next day.
Why?
Because smoking, just like drinking, destroys some of the vitamins your body depends on to live, and smoking also damages many of your body's cells. Then, your body needs more of certain nutrients in order to rebuild and stay healthy.
In addition to vitamins, you may need a variety of other nutritional substances, like amino acids, minerals, antioxidants, andsome herbal extracts.
Fortunately, today it is easy to find good supplements - well, easier than it was years ago. The difficulty today is the huge variety of supplements available. I have tried some of them, and I will try to point you to the ones I thought were worthwhile.
